Don't you just love technology? Currently I'm at Maritime Ford (which by the way is the only place I would ever purchase a car from or have service work done) and I'm suring the net wirelessly! I love it!
Anyways, we just scheduled another newspaper ad for next week to promote our upcoming 'Encore Show' along with a nice schedule on WOMT / WQTC Radio.
One thing that we've learned through this entire process is that advertising is a must; but not only is advertising a must, advertisig works! Last year to promote Season One, we advertised all throughout Wisconsin on different radio stations, TV stations, newspapers, billboard, internet, direct mail, flyers ... you name it - we did it! It's actually one of the most enjoyable and stressful parts of this job all at the same time. Being in advertising myself, I enjoy desiging our campaigns and commercials. One new advertising tool that we are going to use for Season Two is a jingle. We are in the process of developing a new theme jingle for "Lakeshore's Rising Stars!" and hopefully by mid-January, we will reveal what we came up with. (Be excited ... be very excited!)
This Sunday is our annual Christmas Party for WOMT / WQTC. This year, we're celebrating at Elements in Two Rivers. (Have you been there yet?) I have been there a few times and enjoy the atmosphere. It's ... different. Something that you'd expect to see in Chicago (or some big place like that.)
I really do enjoy Stumpjack Coffee Company - also known as Stumpjack for short. They're located downtown Two Rivers on Washington Street - next to Adam's Barber Shop. The owners are great people - and great friends of mine. Actually, David Smith is our business and Internet mananger and Stumpjack is a new major sponsor for our 'Encore Show' and Season Two. Next time you're in Two Rivers, be sure to stop in and say 'hi.' Even though David always trys to be like me and dress like me, he's a cool guy. (Ha Ha)
Besides that, nothing else is new here on my end. Just busy plugging away...
If you could, please keep us in your prayers. Sometimes, working 24/7 (or close to it) gets overwhelming. However, it's important to us and for us to remind people that life is not about work. Life's about getting to know Jesus and making a difference in this world. Face it - when we leave this world, our "things" don't come with us.
One of the greatest songs ever written (and music video for that matter) is "American Dream" by Casting Crowns. I'll write about it on a future post. I'm running out of time as my car is almost done.
Stay posted...and like always, follow your passion.
