Hey Everyone,
I'm currently in the studio recording this week's "Stand Up!" program and wanted to quickly post my thoughts of the day.
First off, if you have never had a chance to tune into "Stand Up!", I would like to encourage you to listen to this week's program. The broadcast airs every Sunday morning from 7:00 - 7:30 on WQTC - 102.3 FM. The ministry has been active for over 5 years and is sponsored by Big Brothers / Big Sisters of Manitowoc County, Acts 1:8 Ministry and Joy's Family Restaurant.
Anyways, I just got back from an annual Guys Weekend at Ski Brule. For the past 5 years, Riley and I have held a guys ski weekend and this year I would have to say was our most memorable trip! Andy Lorge, Adam Hetz and Riley and I had an awesome time up at Ski Brule. The weather was great! It snowed for a bit on Saturday - which was awesome and Sunday, there were hardly anyone on the slopes!
If you have never been to Brule, I would highly recommend it. It's a great hill for all ages and styles of skiers / boarders. They have cabins located right on the hill and most of them have outdoor hot tubs.
Speaking of Brule, I'm actually on my way up tomorrow for a Men's Day at Ski Brule. I'm really excited - however, I'm getting over being sick so I'm hoping that I'll feel better because I think I actually have food poison. I'm not really sure what food poison feels like, but that's my guess!
Next week ... off to Breckenridge, Colorado! (Yeah, the winters are crazy for me personally with many ski trips!)
However, my philosophy - "Work Hard .. Play Hard" and Riley and I are working harder then ever on Season Two right now. We had our board meeting this past Monday and we have finalized a few more surprises for next summer! I would love to share them with you ... but I'm not going too! (Sorry!)
We would like to ask for your help by encouraging anyone and everyone that you know to register for an audition! Many people that I have talked to said that they would but are to nervous too. My response - TAKE A RISK! Life is all about taking risks and trying new things. If you're always going to sit back and worry what others may think ... you're going to miss out of many blessings God wants to give you!
Matthew 6:21 states : "For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." I encourage you, take a look at your life and ask yourself where your treasure is. Is your treasure found in earthly matterials or is your treasure found in knowing Jesus, because if you're heart isn't where it should be and focused on Christ, you're going to miss out on so much in life. Jesus wants to bless you each day, but He wants your heart - your whole heart. Don't just talk the talk but walk the walk. Sometimes, it's not what you say, but it's what you do and how you live your life. That my friends is what life is truly about; knowing Christ.
Someone asked us the other day if Season Two is going to be "Christian" and our response is that our company (EdgeStar Media, LLC) is a Christian based company but we're not a company that is going to judge or push anyone to do anything or beleive anything.
Christianity is about a personal relationship with Christ. It's not what you wear on your sleeves, but it's what you wear in your heart.
Have a wonderful evening everyone and thanks again for your support of "Lakeshore's Rising Stars!" Be sure to keep checking back our Blog for updates and contests.
And like always ... Follow Your Passion.
