"Creation"

As I sit and listen to the birds chirping outside underneath the blue sky, I’m reminded about the beauty found in God’s perfect creation. To often we take life for granted; always rushing through things trying to get to our next destination, that we miss out on God’s creation.

Take a moment and look around you. Everything you see was created by God and for God and if we continue to look past His creation, taking it all for granted, we’ll soon start to look past all of the other gifts He has already given us, such as life itself.

Look up and notice how the sky is always different. It’s like a new painting each day from God. Close your eyes and feel and listen to the wind blowing as if the wind itself is the Holy Spirit moving all around you.

Imagine a beautiful, warm, sunny day. You’re walking on a white sandy beach and as you stare into the horizon, listen to the ocean. Close you eyes and feel the tides come into shore as if Jesus himself is washing you feet.

Now picture waking up on Christmas morning and looking out your window to see the ground covered with soft, beautiful white snow as it falls from the sky. Listen to the children laugh and play as they jump in the snow. Hear their excitement, their happiness and their joy!

Each moment in life is made to worship and praise God. I encourage you, take time each day and stand in awe of God’s creation. Be still and listen for His voice. You just might be amazed as to how much He has to say to you!
