Exciting News and Updates

Only 12 days remain until Round 1 auditions for "Lakeshore's Rising Stars!" Season Two. If you are still interested in being a part of this season and have not yet registered for your audition, don't worry! Walk ins will be accepted. We encourage you, if you are going to be a walk in contestant, make sure you are in line by 8:00 AM Saturday, June 16 in front of the Capitol Civic Centre in Manitowoc.

A few important things to remember on audition day (Saturday, June 16):

1) Auditions will end at 1:00 PM so make sure you are in line early enough.

2) Auditions are completely private and you will not be able to bring a friend into your audition room with you. If however you advance to Sunday, June 17 for the final two rounds, your friend or family member will be able to sit in the theatre and listen to your audition as you will perform on stage in front of the producers, judges and the remaining finalists.

3) Be prepared to sing several different styles of music. We are looking for performers who can sing, dance and entertain an audience. A great voice with no stage presence will not get you into the competition. We need diversity.

4) There is no set time length for your audition songs. It will be completely up to the judges to end your audition.

5) Before your audition, you must make sure that you have completed the registration form, release of liability and paid the registration fee. ($15 for those who pre-registered and $20 for walk ins.)

If you have any other questions, please contact edgestarmedia@mac.com.

Here are the updated statistics for those who have pre-registered:

-65% are NOT from the city of Manitowoc
-15% auditioned last year
-72% did not attend a single show last year
-52% are currently attending school
-The average age is 23

The biggest surprise to Riley and I is the fact that the majority of contestants are not from the city of Manitowoc. Unlike last year, this is completely opposite. However, on the contrary, our winner and runner up were from out of Manitowoc last year, so its interesting to think about what will happen this time around.

We will also be launching the new line of 'Rising Stars!' apparel this year beginning with the first show on Saturday, June 23. New styles of sweatshirts, long sleeve t-shirts, tank tops and more! All of the apparel was designed by Embroidery Plus and Shoto Screen Printing.

In other news, this past Saturday, Andy Lorge performed with the 'Rising Stars!' band featuring Riley Haupt at the annual Airshow Balloon Glow and even though the weather wasn't the greatest, THEY WERE AWESOEM! The crowd loved them, especially when Andy performed "Bed Of Roses." Hopefully within a few days I will be uploading new videos of the concert on EXCLUSIVE ONLINE VIDEOS. If you haven't had a chance to check out the site, click "Videos" on www.lakeshoresrisingstars.com. The site is presented by Maritime Ford and delivers backstage footage of season one and soon, season two!

Also, within the week, I will be launching two new websites - 1) The all new "Lakeshore's Rising Stars!" Photo Site with photos from season one, 'The Encore Show', and last weekend's Airshow Balloon Glow. 2) The official terrystevenson.com!

This week looks like another busy week for Riley and I as we have our next VIP Sponsor Party at the Capitol on Wednesday evening. We also have a few sponsor meetings, plus the BoDeans will be performing at Waterfest this Thursday and Relient K at Bayfest on Friday ... which means, CONTEST TIME!

Simply be the first to email edgestarmedia@mac.com and win a pair of tickets to Waterfest and Bayfest!

And last but not least - the most exciting news of them all! This past Thursday evening, I proposed to the love of my life, my high school sweetheart Katie Miller! It was the most magical evening of our entire lives! We first stopped into the Capitol Civic Centre as I wanted to "show her something." When we got into the theatre, all the lights were out and as we walked on stage, two spots turned on us. I then asked her if I could have this dance and Ben Hoffmann came out and started to play the grand piano. After one song, Willie Ithier came out and sang two love songs for us as we danced on stage. We then left and had dinner at The Courthouse Pub in the Brew Room. John and his wonderful staff decorated the private room with flowers and candels and we enjoyed a wonderful dinner. After dinner, I took her to Fischer Creek Park overlooking Lake Michigan where I knelt down and asked her to be my wife! We plan to get married sometime next summer! We are so excited! God has truly blessed our lives and relationship.

So with all that said ... have a wonderful day and like always, Follow Your Passion.
