The New Point System!!!

Once the 'Top 5' are revealed next week, the new point system will be in effect.

Due to the fact that each night, the 'Top 5' finalists will be performing two songs from two different themes, it's only fair that the judges and live audience gets to vote twice! Therefore, the main judges will award the following:

-2,000 points for their first choice PER HALF
-1,000 points for their second choice PER HALF
-500 points for their third choice PER HALF

The sponsor judges will award the following:

-400 points for their first choice PER HALF
-200 points for their second choice PER HALF
-100 points for their third choice PER HALF

In theory, one finalist could walk away with 19,200 judges points per night! (However, keep in mind that in order for this to happen, this finalist must win over all 8 judges...TWICE!) Hey ... anythings possible!

Also, it's only fair that the live audience gets to vote twice per night as well. Therefore, each audience member will remain at 20 points but will be asked to vote twice on their voting ballots, giving a total of 40 points to potentially one finalist.

From here on out, these points will accumulate until the final. Therefore, it is extremely important to vote for your favorite 'rising star' as the more points awarded to them, the more chances they have at winning the $10,000.00 grand prize and title "Lakeshore's Rising Stars! - Season Two Winner!"

Re: the public voting, unlike previous weeks, voting will end on Sunday, August 19 at noon. You may vote once per day, per location with a photo ID. There are 23 different voting locations. Therefore, for example, if you vote at 10 places per day starting on Wednesday, July 25, until August 19, you would be awarding 1,300 points to a 'rising star' contestant! (Points will add up very quickly!)

Also, this week, we will be revealing the "TBD" theme, which is set for August 15th. Plus, season one 'Top 5' finalist, Andy Lorge will be making a special performance and judging for the evening. You do not want to miss this week's production of "Lakeshore's Rising Stars!"
