New Look

I'm currently re-designing the LRS Blog and considering changing "blog locations" to another service, which would hopefully allow me to be more interactive with the site itself, but in the meantime, Google Blooger will have to do.

I'm really upset that the web polls are still not up and running and again after contacting Blooger, they still do not have an answer as to why all users are having the same problem. It's really driving me nuts! Plus, I can't delete the polls on the site and to me, it doesn't look good with their "Opps, etc..." message. If I knew how to read html, I could delete it, but sadly to say, I have no idea how to read or write html code. I'm trying to contact my cousin-to-be, but he's not responding right now. So until then, please bare with the "construction" of the site.

Also, please continue to email your song choices. You may vote as often as you would like by sending an email to edgestarmedia@mac.com on or before 11:59 AM this coming Tuesday. It's a close call for some songs, then again for others, it's obvious what people want to hear! (But again, anything could happen!!!)

In other exciting news, Andy and Tyler performed at the annual Lakeshore Weekend yesterday with the 'Rising Stars!' band featuring Riley Haupt (aka as 'The Wildbunch") and they were great! The crowd loved them, and so did the organizers of the event! Maybe we'll have the opportunity to book them again next year.

Speaking of bookings, if you are interested in booking a 'Rising Stars!' finalist and/or the band for any shows, please contact the EdgeStar Media Booking Agency through email at edgestarmedia@mac.com. We love to perform for almost any type of function. We're already working on bookings for season two finalists including the winner and runner up for the 2007 Manitowoc County Fair.

This year, the county fair will be adding a new stage inside the Ice Center where we will be performing from 5:30 - 7:00 PM on Saturday, August 25. This is a free concert for all those with a paid admission into the fair. The runner up will perform from 5:30 until 6:00, with the winner headling the show from 6:00 until 7:00. Please come and support us for this concert, as there is talk about the possibility of next year's winner (that is of course if we decide to produce season three) performing on the main stage.

Speaking of Season Three, as of now, there is no confirmation as whether Riley and I will be taking on this task. There are a lot of things that need to happen first in order for us to even consider the future. Negative comments such as those on the Herald Times Reporter forum are not helping us with the decision making process. There are so many different aspects and angles that go into this event, including the overall expenses such as an increase in rental facility and production costs, it's hard to make a clear decision right now where we go from here.

We are, however, committing to 'The Encore Show,' which is set for Saturday, December 15 at 7:00 PM at the Capitol Civic Centre. We are extremely excited for this show as there are some big announcements we will be making within the coming months concerning this production.
