Voting Statistics

As we've stated many times, Riley and I do not know ahead of time the results, let alone the total points. However, I do wish to share with you a few important and very interesting voting statistics according to Greg Anderson.

In round numbers, the voting points breakdown went as followed:

-Judges Votes = 43%
-Live Audience = 38%
-Sponsor Voting Locations = 19%

Now you maybe asking, what does this exactly mean or tell us about the point system. Well, it tells us that this year's 'Top 5' point system was actually very good and successful. The points were not skewed to the judges deciding the winner, as some have been lead to believe. We've always wanted the live audience and public voting to determine the winner, and that is actually what happened. If it wasn't for their points and voting habits, the final outcome would of been completely different. For example, let's look at the following information.

The top two choices for the judges:
1) Larnell
2) Jeremiah

The top two choices for the live audience:
1) Jeremiah
2) Larnell

The top two choices from the sponsor voting locations:
1) Jeremiah
2) Kari

Again, these total percentages were exactly what we were looking for. Jeremiah won over the live audience and had the most public voting.

This should hopefully help those who are interested in auditioning for next year (that is, if we decide to do this again.) It is extremely important to win over the audience and establish a fan base of voters.
