Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Just confirmed - Saucy's Sports Bar, located on Washington Street in Manitowoc will be a sponsor of SEASON TWO of "Lakeshore's Rising Stars!" Our thanks goes out to Travis and Brad for their support of 'Rising Stars!'

Our thanks also goes out to Steve Jr. from Maritime Ford for his sponsorship of 'Rising Stars! Replay.' Although management is currently unaware of our idea, I'm feeling confident that the show will be approved. (For more details on 'Rising Stars! Replay, read THE LAUNCH OF A NEW BLOG.)

We also would like to take this time and congratulate once again the Roncalli Jets on an unbelievable season. As you maybe aware, the Jets went to state yesterday and unfortunately lost to La Crosse. They played a great game and everyone in Manitowoc should be proud and recognize their successful season.

In other exciting news, the Taste of Home Cooking School, presented by the Herald Times Reporter took place yesterday at the Capitol Civic Centre and Amirah Konitzer was scheduled to perform as the opening act. However, at 3:30 in the afternoon, we received a phone call from Amirah informing us that she would not be able to attend the event. Initially Riley and I both started to freak out because we had a scheduled sound check at 5:00 with the show starting at 6:30 ... PLUS for months the HTR advertised Amirah's appearance. So I quickly got on the phone with Jessica Plansky (thinking that she was in Green Bay for school) and asked if she wouldn't mind driving down for an appearance ... only to find out she was in Marinette on spring break! However, Jessica - a true, passionate and dedicated performer agreed and rushed from Marientte to perform. The crowd abosultly loved her and the show was phoenomonal.

Riley and I would like to sincerely thank Jessica and her parents for coming down on an abosulte last-minute phone call to make an apperance. On the way down as her parents drove, she did her make-up in the car! (Now that's talent!) Once again, thank you Jessica! You are a life saver!

Anyways, this morning I met with the Manitowoc / Two Rivers Chamber of Commerce and it looks like the Chamber will be able to help us out by promoting 'audition weekend'. Our thanks goes out to Besty, Karen, Jill and everyone else at the Mtwc/TR Chamber for their ongoing support and help.

And last but not least, I would like to encourage you to keep checking back for daily updates including devotionals, behind the scene information, important news and of course ... contests! Remember - you could win a pair of front row tickets to a Rising Stars! performance. Contest rules and info coming soon. (Hint: check back daily as the post may only be listed for 24 hours.)

Have a wonderful day everyone and like always ... Follow Your Passion!
