Choices

"Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us." - Romans 5:3-5

Life's all about choices. From the moment you wake up to the moment you go to bed - each day is filled with hundreds of choices and God gives us the free will and the power to make those choices. Sometimes life throws us a curve ball and something unexpected happens and your faced with difficult decisions - but in the midst of those moments, God promises to be there for you, giving you the strength and guidance you need to make the right choices. We must remember that when we are suffering, we cannot dwell in those moments, rather we must rejoice as Paul writes in Romans. If you stop and think about it, how we deal with our sufferings and the choices we make during those difficult times truly does define our character and if we prioritize our life the way God asks us, putting Him above and before all, we will be filled with hope and this hope will carry us through those difficult times. Yes, life's all about choices. I encourage you, make the choice of living a life of love, forgiveness and patience - a life filled with the Holy Spirit, remembering that the sufferings we face in this world are to us help strengthen our faith by completely trusting God.
